Top Four Sell High Candidates

Sell High candidates are going to be much tougher for me to parse through quantitatively. Mainly because you're going to see guys like Jrue Holiday popping up there, who got a few games to start this year but will likely be no more than a 10 minute per game contributor for the rest of the season. Sure I'd love to sell him high, but who's buying?! Anyways, so I was able to pull out four solid guys that had big scores on the Sell High list. Take a look (scores of -2 or lower):




1. Brandon Jennings
Score: -2.59
There's so many reason why this is a good call. He just doesn't have the same pedigree as other top rookies, he wasn't expected to be as good as he's played, guys like Redd and Bogut are contributing more consistently now, and most importantly, that Rookie Wall is right around the corner.

2. Ersan Ilyasova
Score: -2.07
Boy I been sounding the bell on this guy for much of the season. Talk about unexpected, Ersan was an early season Waiver Wire hero that one too many just fell in love with. Fact is, his role stands to diminish and he's wildly inconsistent. If you're the guy left holding a big bag of Ersan at the end of the season, chances are you ain't winning the league.

OK, now the field is a bit thin, but I stretched over the line a bit for the next two because I think they are important to point out....

3. Big Ben Wallace
Score: -1.82
Ben's had a great season, I hear ya. But look, he's 35 years old. For a guy that size, that's pretty old. Moreover he's averaging the most Rebounds per game in the last four years. Finally, even when he was good, injuries tended to pop up once a season. Now that he's 35 and crashing the boards as hard as he is, you can expect a second half fall off for sure.

4. Trevor Ariza
Score: 1.73
Who are you Trevor Ariza? You've been in the league for eight years now. You were a second round pick out of UCLA, not highly touted. You had an OK season last year, yet somehow the Hype artists out there had us buying you as the next Tracy McGrady. Those steals sure are nice, and your overall stat line has so much potential, but 66% from the charity stripe? Something doesn't smell right about you bro, best to cash in while the price is right.
