Ever wondered why Kevin S. Yadao remain happy and smiling despite the rigors of College (?) and the ordeals of life? Well, me too. And fortunately, I got to ask the respectable Mr. Kevin Sumalde Yadao how he gets to do this - dance, behave, get UnoSSS, make friends, and offer time to God.

Before the interview got serious, the respectable Mr. Kevin Yadao, as expected, bragged his boast"ABLE" grades (i.e. his Midterms in Accounting - 90%) and also added that he did not study before the exam. O diba, YABANG YADAO.

Anyway, Yadao divulged to me his first secret - dream SMART.. not BIG.
Well size only matters in appearances, according to the conspicuously BIG respectable Mr. Yadao. It doesn't matter anymore inside. Dreams, goals, or plans should be set with limits. It must be SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ATTAINABLE, REASONABLE, and TIME-BOUND. It was first taught to me by our G.I.C.P. teacher in high school but back then, it was just there for GRADES, kept in my memory to be later written in examinations. But through the respectable Mr. Yadao's (i don't know) examples, dreaming SMART left a mark on my brain as a guide to life. Hindi lang dapat "wishful thinking", dapat SMART.

Next, he enumerated his duties. kaibigan, studyante, kapatid, anak, dance, musician, servant of GOD. 7 duties to be fulfilled 7 days a week. At first look, it may seem "un"Yadao - the Manginginom, the Lasenggo, the Hambog, the Emo. But later he explained, these are for DUTY purposes. His drinking, etc. are some of his ways to fulfill his duty as a friend. He also said that duties are done at "duty places" (<- de sabi ko lang yan). For example, school work is done only at school. Once you get out of the campus, your duty as a student ends. That's why when we are at school, inside the classroom, we should give all our attention to the teacher. By doing so, we get what we need, we get what we want, we get UNO. (of course, that's just what the respectable Mr. Yadao said). True enough, I guess. So Monday - Friday , inside the campus, Mr. Yadao does his duty as a student. Saturday, perhaps, he does his duty as a friend/dancer/musician. Sundays, he spends with God, and his family. It may seem simple, but hard when done (at least for me). I'll try. Time management is the key. Planning is the door knob. (tsss) Execution is the door. Success is what's inside. o hanep. korni. He also added, DON'T JUST GO WITH THE FLOW (which is what I'm currently doing), be AHEAD OF THE FLOW (de ako nalang nagdagdag nyan).
