Here's some stations who do it way better than I do! My minimal standard is to assure engaging songs uploaded after having the quiet lead-ins and lead-outs edited away and the volume level brought close to what the others tracks are at. But some stations go that extra step, bringing live DJ quality to net radio.
This is a very good music programme of psychedelic rock, some selections drag out too long, which to be expected given the genre, but check it out:
