I came across an amazing web site for those who wish to study the Zionist movement (the movement to create the modern Jewish State of Israel) from the perspective of Jews who were against it then and remain so, "Ten Questions for Zionists."
Okay, the Germans lost WWI, the British won WWI. The British were occupying Palestine. The Palestinians were fighting British occupation. Germany lost, and so the Palestinians lost, technically. Britain didn't want to keep Palestine, but felt giving it up would be rewarding the enemy. As part of "Squeezing them until their pips squeak," the Versailles peace treaty pushed by the victorious British rewarded German enemies like Poland with German soil and Zionist Jews with Palestine. The United States withdrew from the Treaty of Versailles in protest, remember, because it was so unjust. When Germany rose again, they were very pissed off with Jews working with Britain and taking as war booty the land of a German ally. This is where the ten questions picks up the action. --If what is in these questions is true, what a perfect storm. A crazy German dictator, obsessed and selfish Zionists, an obnoxious-in-victory Britain, an anti-Semitic United States and Europe, tens of millions dead, and a fake and illegal country that will never know peace and whose very existence threatens the world with another world war.
I get peeved by our propoganda, sung out in a Billy Joel song, "we didn't start the fire, it was always burning", because it wasn't always burning.
