The way she denied this man a hearing displayed a remarkable lack of "empathy". It was his last chance to be heard, his final appeal, but Sotomayor used a technicality to deny him his freedom. A technicality, just like some Southern Good Ol' Boy judge! Nothing changed for him until the man responsible for the rape confessed after his DNA was matched to him. 6 Years later.
Republicans won't allow him to testify at the hearings because his cause is against the strong-arm tactics of law enforcement, who forced a false confession out of this innocent young man when his was 16 years old and then tried him as an adult. Democrats won't allow him to testify for obvious reasons.
