Storm #7

It came and went like that, but Storm #7, touted as capable of producing heavy rain in Southern California, was caught up in the strong northerly upper level wind and mercilessly carried off to its death, sparing California a disruptive Christmas storm. This latest storm managed to give the skiers something to cheer about: fresh mountain snow in the Sierra. The snowfall didn't last very long, which prevented the possibility of people getting stranded in whiteout snowfall. While that is good news, large, dangerous winter storms is exactly what California needs right now, so if one does ever show up, be careful out there, carry provision for being stranded in snow. Did you know one (1) candle burning in your car while stranded in snow in a subzero temperature environment lifts the interior temperature by 50 degrees? That could be just enough heat to save your life.
